Luxury Modern Kitchen-Arnos Grove, London
We are in Arnos Grove, London, at a lovely client’s home. We are touring a classic example of our Elements kitchen. This kitchen features handle-less units with stainless steel finger pull trims, dust grey and graphite grey frontages which come together to form a dark and moody space. The stone was a 12mm Neolith Krater which is a porcelain worktop so is heat resistant, stain resistant and scratch resistant. This was in a river washed finish so almost a honed texture and had slight ripples on the surface that add another layer to the kitchen.
Welcome to our latest bespoke kitchen project
Welcome to our latest project. This project was in Arnos Grove, London and we’ve got a stunning kitchen to show you today.
The first thing you’ll notice is this absolutely beautiful bespoke extractor. It is a bespoke piece by Westin. The extractor is integrated inside and then it’s clad on four sides in beautiful antique mirror which bounces loads of light around the room. We think it’s absolutely unbelievable. There are also integrated downlighters which cast light down onto the island surface to give more light on your prep space.
Our lovely clients opted for a sub-zero wine fridge on the back side of the island which is temperature controlled with different zones for wines, champagnes etc. This has a stainless steel frontage. For the island stone, we have got a Neolith Krater worktop and it’s in a river washed finish which is a deep honed textured finish.
On the back side of the island there are shallow, push to open cupboards which are in a Walnut frontage. On the working side of the island the first feature to highlight is the S-box pop up socket which has three plug sockets, perfect for handheld blenders, phone chargers etc.
The tall run is flanked on either side by tall display units. This has a Berwick door which comprises of a glass centre panel and two strips of material either side. This acts as a lovely display area for the client’s favourite items. These are on push to open mechanisms. Internally we’ve opted for a Walnut finish to pick up on the frontages on the back side of the island.
The next wow-feature is the Sub-Zero fridge-freezer. This has a glass door so you can see all of the items inside which is definitely not for everyone but definitely peaks your interest as you see it. The top panel of the fridge is an LED panel which is super-efficient and you can see everything really easily. Internally it has stainless steel trays for food storage. At low level there is a humidity controlled fridge drawer and at the bottom is a freezer drawer.
In terms of the colouring here in the kitchen the client has chosen a graphite grey frontage and combined this with a lighter dust grey finish along with stainless steel accents like the finger pull handle. On the island, we have a Wolf gas top range cooker which comprises 4 gas burners, a Teppan plate, and a grill which is more like a barbeque. It’s the perfect setup for someone who cooks a lot!
Above the sink, we have our statement elements wall unit with a stainless steel frontage and this is on a flap-up mechanism. It’s great storage for glasses and chinaware. The sink sits below this and is a large Blanco 700mm silgranit sink in black and the client has a Quooker pro 3 flex tap in Matt black. There is also a pull-out spray tap built into this tap which is a great feature. This tap dispenses normal hot and cold water but also boiling water in an instant which is very handy and means you don’t have to have an unsightly kettle on the worktop.
The client has also chosen a matching Quooker soap dispenser which isnt’ cheap but matches the tap perfectly and is a really well-engineered piece of equipment.
On the other side of the sink, we have a tall stack to house the Wolf cooking appliances. We have the professional series Microwave at a high level and the Large Oven below this, both appliances are 760mm wide which is as large as you can get without being commercial grade.
