Welcome to our latest bespoke kitchen project

Welcome to our latest project! We are in West London and we cannot wait to get into this one with you. It’s a real showstopper!

We’ll start as we always start with the island. You will notice this beautiful bit of stone. It’s a 30 mil quartz with a lovely beige veining that picks up the beige tones in the rest of the kitchen. We’ve got these stone cover ends down to the floor, and this has created a sort of niche for breakfast bar stools.

The client hasn’t actually moved in yet, but there will be some lovely stools sitting here eventually. As we come around here, we’ve got this lovely bull nose edge profile on the stone, and that comes all the way around. And we’ve got this lovely frontage here, which is a stained and ribbed oak veneer, stained this lovely chocolatey brown colour. On the island are push to open doors and these corner doors are actually usable storage with curved shelving internally.

We’re then going to come round to the main run of units. First is the pocket door larder. When opened you’ve got beautiful double thick glass shelves. Internally we’ve got LED strip lights on three sides. You can see here the client is using it to store cereals and all sorts of dried goods, which is great. And then they’ve got the same matching stone internally which matches the rest of the kitchen. At low level we’ve got glass fronted Legrabox, stainless steel sided drawer boxes which means that you can see everything internally, nice and practical.

Then we’ll come round – the next unit is actually another larder but before we review this you’ll notice the finish on these units – it’s a laminate called Maya Bronze – super interesting and textured. Surrounding this are bronze panels which break up the bronze laminate – layering lots of materials and textures.

The next unit along is actually a tall pull-out larder. So it’s fully racked out in here. We’ve got racks on the backs of the doors, and the client is using it for all sorts of storage, tinned goods, et cetera, but really practical storage.

Then we’ve got the main wet area of the kitchen. So you’ll notice we’ve got the same edge profile on the stone (bullnose), full cladding behind the sink but it’s staggered. So this is creating a lightwell underneath here at the back of the sink. Above the sink is a stunning stunning unit. It’s a wall unit on a servo drive mechanism, so it’s pushed to open electronically. But this frontage here is actually a sprayed liquid metal and it’s in sort of a cracked brass finish.

We’ll show you this zoom zoomed in details, and it absolutely is really unique. One off. Every piece will be completely different. I think it’s an amazing small section to show off and really drawer the eye in. It’s a good focal point.

The sink is an 800mm wide blanco sink. It’s actually in this silgranite material. We’ve got the Quooker Pro three fusion tap in patinated brass, again picking up the tones in the rest of the kitchen.

On the working side of the island we have the cooking area which is comprised of a suite of Miele appliances, so we’ve got a two ring induction hob that also can act as one big flex zone. And then we’ve got the gas cooking station here. So one large wok burner. Four smaller rings here on the gas. So we’ve got a good combination of induction and gas. And then above here we’ve got a westin stratus air that’s built into the bulkhead. And that bulkhead you’ll notice actually matches the size of the island and the shape of the island below it.

On the front side of the island, we’ve actually got lots of drawers with internal drawers. Push to open deeper drawers at low level. And then we have the tall oven stack. So we’ve got Miele Vitro line appliances, and these are handleless and they’re in the obsidian black.

We’ve got single oven at low level at a combi steam oven above. Above this, we’ve got a fully shelved unit. There is a warming drawer at low level, and that is the 29 centimeter warming drawer. So it’s a bit higher. Very good for slow cooking, as well as keeping your dinner nice and warm. And then we have another nice feature on the island. These are the pop-up sockets. This is an S box that’s cut into the island, so it’s all nice and seamless.

Finally we finish with the fridge and freezer. So these are both appliances by Siemens in a side-by-side configuration.

What a wonderful experience from beginning to end. We certainly weren’t the easiest customers , we weren’t sure what we wanted or when ! However Donna, Richard, Rich and their amazing team guided us through the process with utter professionalism as well as warmth and patience. The results exceeded our expectations, particularly the attention to every detail. They wouldn’t rest until they knew we were happy with everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

Woodworks provided us with excellent service, from planning and design to finished kitchen

Build quality is excellent and it really does give the house the WOW factor

Our kitchen was part of a new build process for house we have built from scratch. Deadlines constantly moved, and Woodworks worked around everybody to get the job done on time and in full

After sales is very good, with tweaks to doors and cupboards all part of the service!

It has been an absolute pleasure to deal with The Wood Works. Our existing kitchen was 20 years old, and the layout of the room did not make use of the available space. Josh produced inspired ideas for re-designing the whole area, and really listened to what we wanted to achieve, patiently fine-tuning the plans to our particular requirements. We are now the proud owners of a stunning and practical new kitchen which has completely exceeded our expectations. When my sister visited for the first time, she said "it looks like the kitchen of a celebrity chef!" (which I am not). What a transformation. The Wood Works is a family-run business, and that really shows in terms of their professional service, quality of fittings, attention to detail, reliability and easy communication. Nothing was too much trouble. At the start of the project, Josh promised we would have our kitchen by Christmas. I was sceptical as we were in the midst of the pandemic, but they delivered as promised, with no hitches. Thoroughly recommend.
