Donna & Richard

Batman & Robin, Bert & Ernie, Beauty & the Beast (sorry Richard). These are some of the most famous double acts of all time, and the two Directors of The Wood Works rightly deserve a spot among them.

Childhood sweethearts Donna & Richard met at the age of 14. Fast forward 40 odd years (20 in Donna’s case) – and they stand together as both life and business partners.

The Wood Works’ secret sauce is the perfect fusion of Donna & Richard’s teamwork and relationship. They are Ying and Yang – both in their personal and work lives – but their differences complement each other, giving them the broad spectrum of skills and qualities to approach every client, project, and situation in a truly bespoke way.

Donna is concerned with being in the now – what needs to get done today, while Richard takes care of the big picture. She is the world’s friend and one of the warmest characters you’ll ever meet. He is very understated and possesses an amazing calm that steadies the ship.

Their opinions, tastes, and style are hardly ever the same. Yet it’s their ability to bring all these different perspectives that enriches each project and holds an incredible appeal to clients.

They spend 95% of their life within a metre of each other, and to this day their business relationship and marriage are still wonderfully strong and fruitful.

Long may it continue.
